Montrell Carmouche
Montrell is deeply committed to social justice, working alongside local, regional, and national partners to drive meaningful criminal justice reform.
She plays an active role in both the National Bail Fund Network and the Louisiana Incarcerated Women's Task Force. In 2021, she was selected as one of The Education Trust’s inaugural justice fellows and also served as an EPIC Ambassador with the Ladies of Hope Ministries.
Her advocacy earned her the 2022 Black Voices for Black Justice Award, and she is notably one of only two formerly incarcerated women registered as lobbyists in Louisiana.
